Catherine Evans is the Senior Vice President and National Cyber Practice at Marsh Canada, a global leader in insurance broking against the fast-evolving cyber risks to Canadian companies. Catherine’s insurance career began in 2001, from which she has built considerable experience in specialty lines of insurance and cyber privacy. She is an expert in cyber liability for the Toronto area and has a B.A. from Queen’s University.

Catherine joins me today to share the facts surrounding cybersecurity for businesses of all sizes. She highlights the current number of cyber incidents and reveals why they are on an upward trend. She shares vital information surrounding the regulation that has recently been put in place and the potential damages, fines, and liability that may be levied against companies and directors. She also highlights the additional benefits of taking out cyber insurance, including access to a breach coach.
