Demi McGoldrick is the Associate Lawyer for wills and estate planning at Brazeau Seller Law. Demi obtained her education in the UK, where she gained experience working for personal injury and corporate law firms. She moved to Ontario in 2018, when she acquired the Bar Admission from The Law Society of Upper Canada. In addition to helping clients with estate planning, Demi is passionate about travel, sailing, and scuba diving.

Demi joins me today to share the role of your executor and how it has become far more complicated in recent years. She highlights how to search for, read, and understand the contents of a will and the responsibilities that are part of the executor's role. Demi reveals the best way to talk to beneficiaries and set realistic expectations, in particular to the timeline of settling the will and distributing assets. She also shares a story to portray why it is vital for an executor to safeguard assets, such as a home.
