It can be challenging to have serious conversations surrounding aging and finally becoming an angel. There are many things to discuss with your family, friends, and those you have hired to take on essential roles, such as an executor or trust company. You might need to talk to your spouse, your children, and your business partners about your values and desires. More often, with the likelihood of living into old age, these essential conversations need to include planning for possible diminished capacity and the care you may need.

Today, I share many of the reasons why you need to have the essential conversations with your family, business partners, and friends about your estate plan. I highlight the things that you should plan to discuss beyond the topic of sharing your wealth. I reveal why it is essential to explain the reasons behind your decisions and wishes. I also discuss the importance of making clear your preferences and intentions when age-related medical conditions might occur.
