It’s time for another edition of 💫“I’m a Millionaire! So Now What?” 💫

With Valentine’s Day approaching, who better to introduce you to than the founder, CEO and creative director of Paisley & Heart! (👈see what I did there! 💘😂💘)

Ottawa-based Kim Dixon went from being a global technology-marketing executive, to doing what she truly loved – creating! 🎨

Paisley and Heart offers unique, high end, luxury scarves and bespoke accessories in silk, cashmere, wool, and silver.

We talk:

🧶 New York Fashion Week.

🧶 The business process of launching a new company.

🧶 And, rare in our throw away world, creating timeless products meant to be heirlooms.

Have a listen!

A senior executive consultant, brand strategist and marketing and media programs developer, Kim Dixon’s career has taken her around the world, as a speaker and lead on mergers and acquisitions teams. Her background in helping organizations build brand awareness, as well as increase their media footprint and competitive advantage in their industries made her the perfect partner when she and her sister, Sue Sadlier, paired up to launch Paisley & Heart. The company, as she says, was “…founded on a lifelong love of scarves and jewelry and inspired by natural beauty and design integrity.”

How does a global technology-marketing executive end up at the helm of a company selling scarves and jewelry handcrafted by luxury goods professionals, using only the finest silk, cashmere, wool and silver? By following her heart (wink) and doing what she loves. Kim’s always been an avid vintage jewelry and scarf collector and has been known to have the odd fashion magazine (or 20!) stacked around her office.

Kim studied apparel retailing, graphic design and anthropology Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology (Graphics Arts) and Carleton University (BA in Sociology and Anthropology) and acquired a leadership certificate from the Telfer School of Management Leadership Forum.
